Let summer begin!

*sigh*

We made it. Another school year completed. Reflecting on the past 9 months, the first day of school seemed like a lifetime ago. And yet ironically, it felt like yesterday. I can pinpoint times when God's strength was highly evidenced...or rather, when we finally tapped into it the most. Those times when I let God's Word quench my thirst and sustain me to the fullest. Overflowing. It was a roller-coaster ride at times; and when we were at the top, we were hanging on for dear life as the bottom lie beneath us with a drop straight down, slightly airborn from our seats but still fastened in tight. Makes me think of that song "You Won't Let Go" by MWS....Jesus truly is the anchor for my soul!!!!  I'd never make it without Him. We'd never make it without Him!
my mini-man...who's not lookin' so mini anymore :(
The ending of the school year was met with busy days, but fun days. It was met with a few tears, but more laughter. It was met with more awards and overall celebrating. It was met with late nights and early mornings, but with that faithful creamy coffee at the fingertips.

Reading award for Carson!!! Good job CJ!
Nanny & Carson!

A very proud mama!!
Carson's fun day with his class--bowling, park, pizza lunch, swimming...definitely FUN!

having a blast in the pool!!
As way of a Carson update, you'll notice these swimming pictures contain a boy with a very wet head...because we've been given the green light for our boy to finally be able to do swimming lessons again (it's been a looooong 3 years!) and go underwater!!!!! God has worked out the details perfectly yet again (but is that any surprise?!) as we will be "stopping by" in SLC on our way to MN to meet with the specialist who will be performing the next surgery on our CJ. The visit will consist of a hearing test and then having the initial consult with the doctor in order to proceed with the next step. God's faithfulness continues to reign supreme on this journey and we have no doubt He will continue to provide in a variety of ways. It's His story through us as long as we keep letting Him tell it! For now, we'll be heading to the pool as much as possible!! :)

last day of school!!!!! :)
Summer is now in full session as we began it with new summer pj's, shakes, celebrating with high school grads, barbecuing with friends, soaking up more sun, and finding joy in the simplest things included in our days! Before we know it we will be Minnesota bound!!! :) :) :)

summer shakes!!
YUM!!
love my CJ

laughing around the fire!

End of the year shenanigans

The gap is closing in on the last day of school...can I get an Amen?! ;) My mind and body have finally slowed down from that hamster running on it's wheel mentality, long enough to pause and post about the recent days. A few times I sat down to just type...to give you more intimate details of the inner workings of the revolving Anderson doors but it just never felt quite right.
this is what happens after running through the sprinklers ;)
The variety of stresses over the past days/weeks have infiltrated my heart and mind at times and the puddle of tears made quite the washed out mess--praise God for His infinite grace. The laughter of ladies was probably heard around the block with our story telling and goofy antics--praise God for His sustaining Joy. The shrieks and delight out of the mouths of babes was infectious--praise God for His constant teaching of child-like faith. The listening ear, sweet words of encouragement from a friend, and prayers from another at the drop of a hat were perfectly timed--praise God for his gift of friendship. Summer time is peering it's beautimous head around the corner and all my boys and I anxiously await it's full return!!
