Easter 2014

"Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

Sights and Sounds of Spring!

Flowers blooming. Temperatures teeter-tottering. Baseball bats swinging. Outdoor eating. Neighbors coming out from hibernation. 5am birds chirping. Lightening flashing. Thunder clapping.

Carson warming up!

Swing and a hit!! :)

Those would be just a few of the sights and sounds of the change-over of seasons, along with boys playing outside until the very last second before finally being summoned in to the house. That's always a clear indication that the longer days are warmer days, that fresh air is just too good to pass up.
Dinner on the deck!!

perfect night for a family bonfire

mmmmm....s'mores in the making.....

it's not spring without some sidewalk-chalking!
Andy and Austin getting the sprinkler system ready
With today being Good Friday, it's hard for the heart not be a little heavy amidst the sun shining. Reading the accounts of what Jesus endured all the way to Calvary, a tear escapes...listening to the songs echo throughout the house of what Jesus did for us and how I am to live as HIS child, another tear escapes...praying earnestly for other's hearts to understand and repent and receive...yep, another tear. So undeserving. Yet Grace overrides.

Today is Good Friday...but Praise the Lord, SUNDAY'S COMIN'!!!!!!
