A week's worth

Somehow the hustle and bustle of the season has found me and my boys as we've dabbled in a little bit of this and a little bit of that every day with random outings and "things to do." Andy had his first experience at selling some of his ceramics this past Saturday. Over the years he's sold a mug here, a bowl there, etc. but this past weekend, he had a display table and people flocked! Saturday afternoon our family spent time at the museum here in Winnemucca taking part in the second annual open house, complete with local artists displaying their masterpieces and various forms of artworks. Santa even made an appearance! (it was my boys' first ever picture with the jolly old man!) That same evening we stood along Bridge street to watch the Parade of Lights go by, caught some candy, froze our fingers and toes, but came home to some warm hot cocoa and short Christmas movie to complete our festive day. The past few days have found us in the fellowship of friends (complete with random, spontaneous meals), wrapping presents, receiving AWANA awards (not us...our boys..obviously) baking cookies, watching Christmas movies, finding those last minute stocking stuffers (still not quite completed), putting together teacher gifts, completing gifts in order to get packages in the mail, etc. etc. Busy but fulfilling and memory-making.
Enjoy the pictures from the last few days!
Andy's art display--a few items already sold before I took the pic!

so proud!

both boys received "Clubber of the month" for saying the most sections this past month!

I can't say as though I have many deep or profound thoughts today, just enjoying the dusting of snow that softly coats the brown everywhere. It won't last but for today, it's pretty. The grayish sky makes it easier to get cleaning and more prepared for the counters that will soon be lined with chocolate, sprinkles, sugar goodness of all sorts. It's baking time this weekend!! As I type, the Christmas music is echoing through the house, coffee is nearly done, and my boys are playing contentedly with McQueen and his sidekicks. It's a good day. :)
