A life with boyz

I'm almost positive that over the course of the few years I've been into this whole blogging world, I've highlighted a time or two...or three...or ten...that I absolutely thrill in the fact that I'm a mom of boys. Boys are busy. Boys are loud. Boys are obnoxious. Boys are precious. Boys are risky. Boys are loving. Boys give the best bear hugs. Boys are hilarious. Boys are well....boys! And these three handsome gents each hold a special place in their mama's heart. I find great joy in the fact that my boys can get lost in a good book and in the same breath find deep satisfaction in climbing up to the highest limb possible on that tree. They still give hugs and loves to their mama quite generously and that is one thing you won't find me dismissing all too quickly.
game time with mini-man!

puzzle time!

Austin's artwork!

Carson's artwork--warms my heart that crosses always find a way to make an appearance :)

Mason's Ninja Turtle head ;)

basketball season complete!

To have a daughter would just be a God-given gift (no...I'm not making any announcement of any kind or making any sort of presumption here what-so-ever!!!). But the fact that God has allowed me the honored, hair-pulling-out privilege of raising three sons, how can I argue with that?! I have a handful of nieces who feel like my little sisters, and younger nieces who will hopefully come calling in a few years with those secrets they don't want to share with their mom but feel safe enough to confide in their aunt. I'm good with that. :)

my three favorite mini-valentines! A fun afternoon of swimming!
slam-dunk by Carson!!
of course Mason had to get in on the action!

Life with these 4, emphasis on 4, boys has proven to be nothing short of adventurous. And days like this one we recently shared together I admit aren't taken advantage of enough--but when they do come around inbetween all of the various runnings here and there, we enjoy a full day of memory-making with a healthy dose of laughter alongside some great and often rich conversation. Patience is tested, confidence boosted, God's beautifully hand-crafted creation explored, and a family united even tighter.

our lil' explorers!

Carson doing a little fishing--it was soooooooo windy though!
